The Muslim community can be looked at in various ways. More than the religion, it may refer to the group of people who live following the religion Islam. It could also be known as “ummah” that is an Arabic word which means community or nation. Communities belonging to the Muslim world are spread across the world.

This will refer to the Islamic nation as a unified one. Neither the founder nor the followers believe in castes, though they do exist. The Muslims of the different castes do not take the divide very seriously, and only believe that belonging to the Islamic faith is all that matters. This is one of the strongest points of the Muslim society.

Communities belonging to the Islamic faith only believe that religion must come first before anything else, even family. They also follow strict rules when it comes to prayer, as they pray five times a day. They are also known to read the Koran regularly, which guides them for their daily lives. They follow several rules that are written in this holy book.

Sometimes religious groups or councils will be formed in various places, to unite all the members of the Muslim community. This will especially happen in a country where there are a lot of immigrants Muslims. This way they can maintain their religious and social life in a manner it is supposed to be maintained.

These centers will help Muslim societies get together for religious festivals and other gatherings, which will help them stay united. This community is known to be the most united community in the world. Members of the Muslim world, also have a strong brotherhood, which helps them stay this way, as directed by the Koran.

The Muslim religion has strict principles about a person’s behavior in his daily life, and how he should live. They frown upon several activities like dating, drinking and smoking. All of these come under haram. All members of the Muslim faith have to also be very modestly dressed. Women are stressed upon greatly when it comes to this matter.

Most or all of the Muslim societies live together in large families, and always in harmony. Their religion plays a main role in uniting them this way. They will never compromise on their religion, no matter what. They also believe in strongly protecting their religion, and all the Muslim nations. This is known as the jihad or the holy war.

Most of the Muslims cannot be blamed for what is happening in the world. Only a few of the members of the Muslim community, have taken up arms against the world to defend their religion. This has brought about a divide in thoughts among them. Basically their principles vary regarding jihad. A lot of the Muslims in their community face racism across the world.

Though several people in the Muslim community have deviated from the original path, they cannot be blamed for extreme methods. Their perspectives are just different from the others.
