Muslim culture relates to the practices of the Islamic community. The Muslim empire in the world is vast, and one single culture cannot be pointed out as the main culture of the Muslims. Though Islam originated in Arabia, several countries are now Muslim countries. The religion unites them, and they cannot be differentiated, all their cultural aspects may be the same for most of them.

One thing that may differ is the head dress of the Muslim woman, who is seen in different clothing from country to country. All the Muslims will also agree that there is no specific culture, only the religion, as all of them just live by the rules of the religion. The main part of Muslim culture that dominates the entire the Muslim community, are the religious practices among the entire population.

They are very religious and pray five times a day. This is followed by every single Muslim, and is also the one thing that unites them from one end of the world to the other. No other religion can boast of this unity. The main language of the Muslims was Arabic, but today it also includes Urdu, Persian and Hindi to name a few.

The main goal of the Muslim community and their literature was to spread Islam. The Koran is thus written in Arabic, and all Muslims are supposed to recite their prayers in Arabic. They also do not have too many holy days in their calendar. They do not specifically celebrate the birthday of Prophet Muhammed, as they believe in minimizing all festivities.

Their marriages are one of a kind in the cultures of the world. It is called the nikah ceremony, and there are rules to be followed before and after the marriage. The marriage ceremonies may however vary from country to country. It is very popular called the legal bond or social contract between a Muslim man and woman.

It is very important to know that all Muslims do not have any pictures of their God or even Prophet Muhammed in their place of worship. They believe that this will lead to idolatry. They are asked to keep God in their vision and hearts alone. Due to this rule, they were not allowed to paint human beings too. Most of their art will include only abstract forms.

This has changed with the Western world’s influence. Since they could not paint forms for Allah, they were satisfied to just draw geometric patterns in its place. Islamic architecture saw the abundance use of towers and domes. They made their presence felt in several countries, and ancient monuments still stand today as a national treasure.

One such example is the Taj Mahal in India. The music of Muslim culture will naturally relate to religion. They mostly consist of Arabic and Persian classical music. But now the Muslim culture has divided or become more diverse in countries like India, Pakistan and the Middle East. They will differ in very small ways, as their religion remains the foundation.
