A Muslim is considered to be mature, if he or she has reached an age, where he can understand responsibilities and get married. It is widely known that Islam insists upon Muslims marrying as soon as they can. A Muslim man should marry when he is mature enough, and this will happen when he is financially independent.
A Muslim woman will be considered mature when she has attained puberty, and she is old enough to marry. At this age she will also begin wearing the veil, and learning all household responsibilities. It is not a written rule that Muslim women must marry and stay at home after they are mature. They may also work if they wish to.
They may keep the money, as the Muslim husband is the one who has to provide all the comforts. In many Eastern countries, the Muslim families fix the marriages of their mature daughters much before they are mature. The Muslim girl will go to her husband’s place only when she has attained puberty, and ready for sexual relations.
Though the Muslim individuals are mature enough, the families still take part in the wedding decisions. A lot has changed though, in today’s Muslim communities. Even the Muslim women are getting married at a very late stage, and are also taking their own decisions about who to marry. Though this is against the laws of Islam, it is increasingly happening in the Western countries, as they have more independence.
Muslim women across the world, are becoming more mature in the sense that they are breaking free from too many shackles. They are working towards being more mature independently. We can say that all Western Muslim women are mature Muslims, as they are very independent. A lot of the women in the Muslim world are now fighting for their rights.
Some people may even consider slightly older people mature Muslims. Though it is very rare or impossible to find single mature Muslim women who are older, there are mature men who are older. They may be getting married late for various reasons. These men will also use the services of the Muslim matrimonial sites to find themselves partners.
This will be the best place to find partners, as the people across the world are very open minded unlike some Eastern cultures. Many people might find it unfair that while a Muslim man can marry late, a woman is forced to marry at a very young age. So these men may marry again.
