Muslim men always have to follow certain rules that are written in the Koran. First and foremost, they have to work towards making this world a safe place for children to be born in. Next they have to provide for their wife and family at all times. They cannot allow them to starve and try to find a living for themselves.
In case a Muslim woman is in need of help, and her husband is dead, the Muslim brothers will have to help her out. They may be humane and help her support her family till other arrangements are made. She should also be protected from harassment and crime.
They have to practice love and respect from a young age. The first thing they have to be taught is how to respect their mothers and sisters. They must defend their honor at all times, always speak well of them and help them in any way that he can.
This is taught to them at a young age, so that he may behave the same way with his wife when he gets married. Muslim men have always been the provider for the household in terms of money. It is written so in the Koran as well. They must also spend time with their families.
The prophet Muhammed was known to help his wives with their household work. Men belonging to the Muslim community cannot complain about providing all their lives for their families. In Islam, it is stated that women do work by bearing and raising children.
Even if the Muslim man’s wife has money of her own, he has to provide for her in all the ways possible. She must have shelter, food and clothing at all times. If a Muslim woman earns and contributes this money to the household, it is considered as charity. So the Muslim man must take all responsibilities for materialistic needs for the entire family.
Men who are Muslims cannot ask his wife for money, and they cannot live in a house if he does not pay the rent. Muslim men should always be bonded with their mothers greatly. He has to make sacrifices for her when she becomes old, and must provide for her at that time.
Men of the Muslim community must also listen to their mothers before they listen to their fathers, because it is the mothers who guide them throughout their lives. It is believed that the mothers give them love and teach them Islam while they are still in the womb.
Men belonging to the Muslim religion must always be kind to their wives, and must not criticize her when she makes mistakes. They must also thank her for the endless tasks she does for him at home. Allah’s messenger says “The best of you are those who treat their families the best”.
Muslim men are also requested to dress decently and not in clothes that reveal too much of their body parts. They do not have to necessarily cover themselves like the Muslim women do.
