Why Are Muslim Babes Called So?

Who are Muslim babes, and why are they called by this name? This is something that will not be accepted by the Muslim community. Staunch Muslims have protested against the use of this name. In the Western world, it is common to call young women and girls babes. It has spread across the world. The West not only spread their influence in all ways, but also ruled most of the world in many indirect ways.

Their culture, especially dating, movies and music has been a rage in all the other countries. Unfortunately part of the Muslim society too has been affected by this Western influence. In many countries, where migrated Muslims live, there is a second generation of Muslims too. These Muslims have been born and raised in these countries.

Most of them grow up among the Western peers whether it is school, college or in the work place. Right from a young age, this society is exposed to romantic relationships, alcohol and smoking. These three are the main ingredients in a young person’s life in the West. A lot of young Muslim women seem to be part of this band wagon, in many countries. They also want to be part of this fast crowd, as it is called.

They do not adhere to the dress code or to the behavior codes of Muslims as written in the Koran. Most of these young Muslim women are termed as Muslim babes. People do not hesitate to call them so either. But it is different for Muslim girls who still follow the rules of the religion and remain how they are supposed to be.

Though a lot of controversy has surrounded this topic, not much seems to have changed recently. A lot of Islamic and Muslim feminist groups even speak about the rights and freedom of the Muslim woman, and that she cannot be tied up to the household work. There is a noted incident about a British Muslim singer, who created waves with her controversial video where she not only dressed inappropriately but spoke about Islam.

A lot of sentiments were hurt among the British Muslim population. There was also the added controversy about the Asian Muslim who was a British nationalist and who won the Miss England crown. Not only was she dressed inappropriately, she was part of a program that is definitely not approved by the Muslim society.

All these Muslim women who say they have changed the face of the Muslim culture, fall under the Muslim babe category. Though we can say that the West has been an influence on the Muslims, it is unfair to blame them for any cultural changes. Muslim women do have their own choices to make of course. This change has also been noted in the Arab world.

It is now the duty of the other Muslim women and men, to make their voices heard, and stop this drastic and shocking change that has overcome certain Muslims. They have to change in respect to the religion.
